Tropical Birds
Miami's skies are a birdwatcher's jackpot: great blue herons stalking the shallows, roseate spoonbills flashing pink over the Everglades, white ibis probing every lawn, and wild parrots chattering through the palms. The birds
The wading birds are the stars: herons, egrets, ibis and the unmistakable roseate spoonbill, best seen in the Everglades and the bay's shallows. Urban Miami adds its own cast: the monk parakeets nesting on power lines, the peacocks of the Grove, the pelicans dive-bombing the bay.
