Brickell
Brickell is Miami's vertical neighborhood: a canyon of glass towers where Latin America's money meets the city's ambition. Banks, law firms and consulates by day; rooftop bars and riverfront restaurants by night. It is the densest, fastest part of Miami.
We respect Brickell for what it is: the engine room. The city dreams here in spreadsheets and skylines.
The story
Brickell Avenue was once Millionaire's Row, lined with mansions. From the 1970s on, it transformed into the financial district of the Americas: banks from across Latin America and the world set up here, earning Brickell the nickname 'the Manhattan of the South.'
The Miami River and Brickell Key added marinas, the Brickell City Centre added a new downtown for shopping and living, and the towers kept rising.
The vibe
Brickell moves fast: suits at lunch, runners on the Brickell Key loop at dawn, rooftop crowds at sunset. It is the most international-workforce part of Miami: you hear Spanish, Portuguese and English in every elevator.
At night the towers light up and the neighborhood exhales onto its rooftops and the riverwalk. Come for the skyline views; stay for the energy.
What to experience
Walk the Brickell Avenue Bridge and the riverwalk, loop Brickell Key for the skyline views, and connect south to Coconut Grove or north across the river to Downtown.
